God is spirit but he refers to himself as our Father so that implies he is of the male gender, if a gender can be attributed to Him.

Mt:5:45: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Yes Our lord is a he HE refered to as A MASCULINE figur in the Holy Bible! this doesnt make men better than women because the lords Foil is his mother holy virgn mother. The answer to if God is a he-she, is no. He is a masculine deity of the Hebrews and father of Jesus Christ, our lord and saviour. He created the earth and heavens. His actual sex is to be believed as sexless, since there are no other gods to reproduce with, and he didnt have sex with Mary.

traditionally, men were seen as being more important than women and so when the idea of God was formed, he was assumed to be a man as he was more important than anyone. This isn't necessarily correct though and you can choose to believe her to be whatever sex you wnt.

how am i supposed to know but i think it is a male

how am i supposed to know but i think it is a male

Answer:

Neither and both, Thomas Aquinas would have argued that a trancendant being which goes beyond the limmits of all definitions cannot be limmited to species. God has no species, and so also has no gender.

On the biblical side, though, there is reason to think God is both: Genisis 1:27:

So God created mankind in his own image,

in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them. (emphisis added)

This would imply that the immiage of God is both male and female, or perhaps that they are only in his immiage when together.

There are also several other referances to God as male through out the Old and New Testament, but there are also refferences to God as femminin such as Jesus' parable of the woman and the lost coin.

More important than gender, God is a lover. God is deeply in love with creation.

No, God is not intersexed.

Although many refer to Him as He, most know God is not human therefore he is not a man or woman or a splice of the two.

Because in the relevant verses themselves, the masculine is invariably used (Genesis 1:1, etc). In Hebrew there is no neutral gender.
