Why does Inuyasha pick Kagome over Kikyo?

Well, technically, Inuyasha fell in love with her first. The episode Kagome kisses Inuyasha is episode 14 Kagome fell in love with Inuyasha because he always saved her when someone was trying to steal the sacred jewel shards and stuff.

Does seshomaru hate Inuyasha?

she doesn't hate Sesshomaru or anyone including Naraku. but in one of the final acts of inuyasha Kagome hugs Sesshomaru and kisses his cheek for saving her. in my opinion she liked to kiss his. and i believe that the kiss she gave him. and she tells inuyasha and he trows a huge fit. and she "sits" him and tells him "it wasn't a big deal, after all her did save me".

Why did inuyasha's father want inuyasha to have the tetsiga?

i think it is because inuyashas dad wanted him to become as strong as sesshomaru(thats my opinina) InuYasha's father had a devoting love for Human's. When InuYasha's mother was pregnant, he chose a tomb in which his body would be when he died, and he chose to hide it inside InuYasha. The reason his dad gave InuYasha the tomb and the tettsuiga is because he wanted somebody who would fit it better. His father designed a different sword for his eldest son, Sesshomaru, so InuYasha got the tettsuiga. InuYasha became more like his father than people noticed. Like his dad, he also loved Human's, which was the reason he could use the tettsuiga, and when InuYasha learned to be nice to them, and love them, he would be allowed to withdraw it. Since that never really happened, a human themselves (Kagome) was allowed to draw out the sword because of InuYasha's father's love for humans. It's a long story, but the reason Inu was allowed the tettsuiga was because his dad loved his mother, and it was his love for humans (since Inu IS half-human) that made him able to wield the tettsuiga.

When was inuyasha born?

As far as I know, an exact date for Inuyasha's birthday isn't given. However, as seen in the movie "Inuyasha Movie 3: Swords of an Honourable Ruler", the most we know is that he was born in one of the winter months, as there was snow on the ground during the opening scene when he is born. So he was born anywhere between probably late November to late February. Hope this helps. From what i can rember it was never said. BUt in the third movie It was Hinted that he was born in the Winter [ Or somewere in the mountins Where it snows all the time ( I am going with born in winter =P ) ] Hopw that helped =D ~ This answer was correct so I didn't want to change it, just add a bit. He was born in the winter like previously stated, and in the 3rd movie we are hinted that it was a lunar eclipse. In the first movie the two women that assisted Menomaru had stated that they had been in Japan for over two hundred years, and InuYasha's father had a run in with him shortly before his death as well as Ryokotsusei on his way to save InuYasha's mother as she gave birth to him. That gives InuYasha around 200 years before the time he was sealed to the tree. In that few hundred years the only Lunar eclipse over Japan during winter was December 4th, 1294. Making InuYasha 719 years old tomorrow. =)

Why can't anyone except Inuyasha and Kagome get through the well?

Because Inuyasha and Kagome both have shards, and are powerful. Kagome is mortal, but her jewel shards allow her through the well. EDIT: not true.....Inuyasha can get through the well because of the necklace Kagome gave (or force rather)him and it made a link between them. And in the beginning of the series Kagome used to have to have shards to get through but due to the whole "shards get stolen every 5 seconds." Takahashi (the author) soon dropped it so kagome cna now go with or without the shards.

Did Inuyasha keep the locket that Kagome gave him?

in the movie yes, that's what kept him from freezing in time. but the locket doesn't come up in the seerise

How does Inuyasha's dad die?

It doesn't say how he died in the series, but in the third InuYasha movie, InuYasha: Swords of an honourable Ruler, it is said that his father died from a human who was in love with his wife. After battling Ryukotsai, he returns to Izaoyi, InuYasha's mother, in time to see his newborn son. When he arrives, he finds that somebody, I can't remember who, is abiut to kill InuYasha and his mother by burning their house down. He finds Izaoyi inside with baby InuYasha, and gives them the kimono of the fur of the fire rat, and they escape, leaving him behind to battle with the "murderer", but because he is so weak from his previous battle, he gets defeated and dies
