* My nose was pierced with a gun and it didn't hurt at all but then again people tell me that you shouldn't have anything pierced with guns. * I had the needle done, and it hurt like hell, but it is supposedly the healthier way to do it.

∙ 14y agoI will warn you only once. Do not get your nose pierced with a gun. Do not get any piercing done with a gun. It will only haunt you in the long run. If a piercer wants to use a gun on your nose, they're crazy, and I advise you to leave immediately. I'm sure a gun is quicker, but the needle is much better for the health of your piercing. Trust me, go with the needle.

∙ 12y agoWell, if you go to a place and they want to use a gun; leave. The gun isn't used in professional piercing places which is where you want to go for any body modifications- even slight ones like that. The gun can damage skin tissue and is not even recomended for use on ears

∙ 12y agoNever ever ever pierce your nose with a gun! Use a needle and a piece of cork! The piercing will take a lot longer to heal if you use a gun and therefore will be more prone to infection. I had my nose, lip, and cartilage pierced with a needle; they healed after a few weeks and the piercing itself only hurt for a second. However, the first time I had my cartilage pierced, they used a gun; it hurt like hell and it never healed and now I have a permanent bump from where I kept getting an infection. Bottom line, no matter what piercing you get, NEVER USE A GUN!

∙ 13y agoit really doesnt matter because the needle goes through really fast but the gun goes through wayyy faster than the needle but nit depends on what your doing and piercing

∙ 12y agoGun definitely. Guns should never be used on piercings, esp cartilage. Needles will be quicker and cleaner. They wont bruise like a gun either.

Either will work, but it is far more likely that it would be by hand with a needle. Professional peircers frown on using guns and most (boutique) shops that use guns will not pierce noses - or anything except for your ear. Dont try it yourself or let a friend do it - its not worth the risk of infection. ----------- A gun maybe... But both of them hurt. I would never want to pierce any part of my body.....
