The short answer would be yes.

Thunderstorms and Hurricanes can both produce hail in Florida. Yes, it does hail in Florida. Anywhere that has thunderstorms or severe storms with high winds reaching up 40 to 50 miles per hour, at least. They usually have thunder and lightening along with rain. When a storm has all the right factors, it can take rain and repeatedly drive it up into the upper levels of the storm, freezeing the rain over and over. Thus, creating the hail, when the winds can no longer hold the hail aloft they drop, thawing and freezing on the way down. Depending on the amount of rain, the size of the drops, and how many trips it made to the upper levels, that determines the size of the hail. It is also a good indicator of the intensity of the storm. This is just a bare bones outline of how hail is made, there is much more involved in it's making than just this.

What is the word 'hail' when translated from English to Japanese?

Hail can have many meanings, such as "hailing" a taxi, "hail" that falls from the sky, "hail" as in "greet," etc. Though I'm not sure which context you're referring to, the hail that falls from the sky is 'arare.' "Hail" as in "Hail to the king!" is 'banzai.' "Hail" as in "greet" can be 'aisatsu suru.'

Does hail turns into snow?

Hail is frozen precipitation that forms in thunderstorms, while snow forms in colder clouds. Hail and snow are not the same; hail typically forms in warmer conditions than snow. Once hail falls to the ground, it remains as hail and does not turn into snow.

Where in the United States is hail most frequent?

It occurs most frequently in "Hail Alley", which runs from Nebraska to Colorado and up to Wyoming. Frequent thunderstorms combined with the air of orographic winds from the Rockies allows strong updrafts capable of supporting hail. Cheyenne, Wyoming is considered the hail capital of North America, with 9 or 10 days of hail annually on average. Elsewhere, hail can and has occurred in all 50 states, but is least common on the coast and in some of the colder regions, particularly Alaska.
