Just to add: If you go to Penn Station, you can take Amtrak to Rhinecliff, NY, which is a hamlet outside of Rhinebeck and then take a cab into town. If you go to Grand Central, you would take Metro North into Poughkeepsie and take a cab. Poughkeepsie is about 20 minutes away,but it is cheaper than Amtrak. It just depends if you want to spend additional money on a cab to get there.
