Listening to music while studying can be beneficial for some people as it could help create a more conducive environment for learning. However, the type of music and personal preference play a significant role in its effectiveness. Some may find it distracting rather than helpful for memory retention. It's best to experiment and see what works best for you when it comes to studying and memorization.
While some people prefer to have background noise (such as music) going while they study, others prefer complete silence. And it also depends on the type of studying you're doing. For instance, someone studying simple math problems might be less distracted by music than someone studying advanced economics. The key question to ask yourself is "Am I spending more time listening to the music than I am spending on my studies?" If the answer is yes, then you need to cut the music down or turn it off altogether. The latest scientific information shows that some background noise usually does help most people "tune out" noises like traffic, construction, or people talking, and help them concentrate on what they are doing. However, this music should be slow to medium paced (not fast rock or heavy metal) and have no vocals or loud drum beats!Music can affect you in a variety of ways. Depending on the type of music you listen to you can change your brain waves to make you achieve a higher state of awareness/concentration. Instrumentals are usually the best for studying/homework as (as long as decently light) they take you into the alpha brainwave state. You get your most heightened sense of awareness and concentration in this type of brainwave. Stay away from rough beats and lyrics as they can be distracting to your work. Some people (I am one of them) cannot concentrate when it is too quiet around them. These people do benefit from having music playing quietly in the background while they work. Notice the emphasis on quiet - playing your favorite music loudly will just distract you from your work, and will have a negative effect on your studies. Sometimes it helps to play classical music or jazz - music without words - because many people key in when they hear words, and subconsciously focus to figure out what is being said.
To maintain concentration while reading with background noise, you can try using noise-canceling headphones, playing white noise or instrumental music, or finding a quiet space to read. Additionally, practicing mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing or visualization can help you stay focused on your reading despite the noise.
It depends on the person. If they are easily distracted by music than no. It helps me to concentrate by listening to music but with some people it just may not work.
we listen a variety of music like salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia , rock, pop, r&b, heavy metal, etc... every kind of music that u listen to plus hispanic music
It depends on the individual. Some people find that listening to music, including pop music, helps them concentrate while working. Others may find it distracting. Experiment and see what works best for you.
There is no magical sound that makes you memorize, no. But scientific studies have shown that having quiet instrumental music on in the background will help you to concentrate better on what you're memorizing. Sounds of the sea would also work to drown out any distracting background noise.
It is better to listen to hip hop music, because it refreshes the brain, STEPHEN OVABOR

It can. For some people it brings back memories, it did for me. Music helps people to remember things e.g when I listen to some songs I start to think about my childhood and the present and how I am now. But 1 thing music cannot do is make you forget things. Music is a big part of my life and it's helped me think about things I haven't thought about in years. If you think about it also, if you put education in a singing version. It may help you memorize that particualr subject better.
IT IS USED IN RELIGIOUS AND NON RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES , it is a profession for some people , it is the easiest way to memorize things and it is also a mean of relaxation
I would say that in your case the music is distracting your attention from what you are trying to study... try listening to music that has no lyrics. Instrumental stuff actually helps me memorize better. Good luck with it!
To memorize a music piece, you have to practice it regularly. Try to use same fingering every time, the muscle memory will help you to memorize easily. Memorize the piece in parts: do not try to memorize the whole piece at one time.
manchester united are a much better football team than chelsea
In order to read music you will have to memorize the scales. There are people out there though that can play by just hearing the music and repeating it. Personally I think it limits you when you cant read music. Good luck. You don't have to memorize scales to learn to read music, however, it makes playing correctly in the key easier. Memorizing scales is a overall part of musicianship and understanding concepts of music. It also helps greatly if you want to improv, especially in jazz music.
Any time a musician writes or performs music, it comes from his knowledge and background. When a person performs music, it says who he is. Background affects who he is and what kind of musical education he has had. Music is expression. Without a circumstance (background) or knowledge (background), it is impossible to express.
not really...its usually about the artists' lives that sing them
u cant download the background music for the ipod because its only the background music no one would ever think to put it on the ipod and i do agree the background music is cool
