UTIs are not contagious.
Until it's gone.
No, not usually. Even if a woman with a UTI has intercourse, it's not likely a man will get a UTI. However, if you want to be 100% safe, use a condom. There IS risk that intercourse will make the woman's UTI symptoms much worse, and can re-infect a woman whose UTI is just clearing up. This is because the urinary opening is so close to the vaginal opening -- it's right above the outside of the vagina. Intercourse or even being fingered can irritate the urinary opening AND introduce more bacteria into the urinary opening. So sex during UTI is NOT a good idea. As well, women with UTIs rarely want to have sex because (1) intercourse puts pressure on the bladder (2) penetration can cause a jarring type of pain in the lower belly and (3) most women with UTI feel like they have to urinate frequently and sexual intercourse will make the urgency and frequency much worse, especially after sex (that day or even for several days).
It could be many things; from a STD to a UTI.
It can be a STD or UTI. Have a doctor check it out.
While both UTI and chlamydia can cause painful urination and other urinary symptoms, a UTI caused by typical UTI pathogens does not turn into chlamydia. Get tested for both with your health care provider to make sure you're getting the correct diagnosis and treatment.

Yes, it is common for a person with chlamydia to be diagnosed first with a UTI. If someone presents with painful urination, often medication for UTI is given while waiting for the lab results. When the results arrive, if chlamydia was found, the treatment and diagnosis will change.

Urinary Tract Infection? That's normal for women who often engage in sexual intercourse often. There is no technology, only pills to make it go away. Its not a disease or anything.

Itching around the urethra is not a standard symptom of a UTI. Return to your health care provider to be examined for other causes of painful urination that may cause itching. These include trichomoniasis and herpes.
Coffee and tea may irritate the bladder more with UTI and cause more discomfort. They don't cause UTI, but they can make you feel worse (as can alcohol).
