In The Bible, God does not cover homosexuality and lesbianism very thoroughly, but it is stated in the bible at several points. In Leviticus 18:22, it says (quote): Thou shalt not lie with Mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination.
What this is basically saying is that God sees homosexuality as an 'abomination'.
Again, in Leviticus, passage 20:13, it touches down on the subject of homosexuality/lesbianism. It says (quote): If a man also lieth with mankind, as he would with a woman, both of them hath committed an abomination, and they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
This is also stating that God frowns upon same-sex couples.
In Romans 1:26, The Bible looks more at Lesbianism. It says (quote): For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women even did change a natural use into that which is against nature.
In this passage, The Bible talks of lesbians as being 'outcasts' of Christianity.

The design by God is as follows: Genesis 2:24. "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." It is this passage which specifies that marriage should be between a man and a woman. The reader may presume then this prerogative of marriage should only be between a man and a woman. Since sexual relations are only supposed to occur between spouses, this would imply that same-gender relations are in violation of God's intent and desire.
