total mass is conserved in a chemical reaction because of the law of conservation of mass. Yes, but very very little if energy(temp) changed . You can use E = MC^2 to find the the change in mass. m = E/(c^2). c is 299 792 458 m / s and c^2 is

So there is almost no chance you will be able to measure.

PS if you are in high school chem or below, they LIE to you when they say mass does not change during chemical reactions.

Yes, it does, BUT -

The change of mass in any chemical reaction is minute. It can be calculated, but is really much too small to measure.

Mass changes are very noticeable in nuclear reactions; you don't need to witness a nuclear weapon going off, just stand outside in the sunshine. The light and heat that you experience are the energy produced when a small amount of matter disappears. In atomic reactions (aka chemical reactions) the mass changes are a third order effect, no more than a curiousity.

no, the mass always stays the same, for something to occur something of equal value must be given in return. in other words, it starts at a certain point, and ends at it also.

No it doesn't .
The mass of the substances you are mixing
through chemical reaction remains the same.

No, total mass of all reactants is eqaul to the total mass of all products. (Law of 'mass conservation')

Why the amount of reactant and product do not change in reversible reaction?

The amount of reactants and products do not change in reversible reactions because, in a chemical reaction, matter is neither created nor destroyed -- it is only rearranged. This is the law of conservation of matter.

The material still has the same amount. However, some of the matter leaves after the chemical reaction that changes the matter's molecular structure.
