Adding salt to water raises the freezing (and melting) point of water (to below 0 °C or 32 °F). Salty water will freeze at a lower temperature than pure water, thus making it take longer to freeze than the same amount of pure water.

See the Related Question to the left for more information about how to solve for the exact change in freezing point.

i think that yall are right but i think it takes longer becase the salt gose to the bottem and sits there causing it not to freeze for a while

Yes, saltier water will take more time because adding salt lowers its freezing point. More energy must be removed to freeze the salt water than with pure water. (Specifically because the salt ions block the formation of ice crystals, allowing the number of "melting" molecules to exceed the number of "freezing" molecules.)

to much salt will affect the time for the salt water to freeze because to much salt would make it not even freeze fast like regular water.

How does the temperature of water affect the time it tackes to freeze into ice cubes?

Temperature affects the time it takes to freeze water because hot water will freeze slower than cold water because it has more thermal energy. I hope I answerd your question!
