Although the air conditioning system does use oil, it is not connected to the engine oil warning lights.
A/C oil is added through the normal A/C charging procedures.

But what about the blinking oil light?
The oil light triggers when the oil pressure drops too low - the primary indicator that the oil levels are low.
That means you need to check the oil level TODAY.
I'd venture a guess that if the oil level is low, it's probably past time for an oil change.
#1 cause of premature engine failure is the owners failure to maintain the oil.

If the air conditioning light is blinking on a 1992 Chevy Pickup, it is possible that the Freon is low in the air conditioning system. it is also possible for this light to blink when the radiator fluid is low or there is a problem with the air conditioning belt running the pump.

The problem with your air conditioning light blinking in the 4runner is a bad relay. Toyota has updated the relay to part #90987-02028. Call your local Toyota dealership for this relay. You can buy it at the parts counter. It is about $65. It takes 1 minute to replace. This same procedure is for the Camry and other Toyota models with the same blinking AC light, but the relay part number might differ.
It is blinking because there is a problem with the SRS. Take it to a professional for repair. Working on the SRS is dangerous and should not be attempted by a novice. Serious injury can occur.
It probably means that one of your head or tail lights is about to go out. I have a Ford Taurus and my right blinker started blinking very quickly and within a week, my right headlight was out.

Blinking red light signifies alertness or danger.
It blinks to let people know you have an anti theft device on that car. Or at least make them think you do even if it's just for show.
Stop. Treat the blinking red light as a stop sign.
