It does affect the diameter.

At a high height the diameter gets bigger.

At a low height the diameter is slower.

Yes. If you drop the water higher and higher it will get bigger and bigger. If you drop the water lower and lower it will get smaller and smaller.

How many drops are in a fluid ounce?

It depends on the fluid and its viscosity. The number ranges from 500 - 600 for water but there is a wide range of numbers possible:. Water is a relatively viscous fluid (i.e. a thick and sticky fluid) compared to light spirits so three will be fewer drops of water in a fluid ounce than if the fluid was a spirit. Compare water with a thick heavy oil. A droplet of oil will tend to be much larger than a water droplet so the number of drops may be far fewer. 600 drops will be present in one ounce.

What is the difference between a snow flake and a water droplet?

the difference between a snowflake and a water droplet is that a water droplet is a snowflake before and after it is actualy formed!!

How do you prove that every water droplet is or isn't the same size or shape?

All you need is two drops that are not the same shape to prove they are not the same. Compare drops of water dripping from a tap (faucet) which is elongated, and one in zero gravity, is spherical.

Does the density of a liquid affect its droplet shape?

A drop is a drop.Example? A drop of water is exactly like a drop of melted lead.Answer?No.

If there is a bigger water droplet size is there a better chance of precipitation?

direct chance of precipitation increases and water droplet increases

Is a water droplet a liquid?

What is the terminal velocity of a water droplet 312 miles wide?

Try stretching out a droplet of water (312 miles wide) and then you tell me.

Where did the droplets of water come from?

Droplets of water will condense on a surface when the surface drops below the Dew Point temperature at that relative humidity. That is, the vapour condenses into a liquid phase. The droplet shape is caused by surface tension of the liquid.

Why does a drop of food colouring in a container of water start as a drop but eventually colour the entire water?

The droplet spreads out as it dissolves in the water. It occupies the same space as the water, turning it colours the water a lighter shade of the colour of the original droplet. This due to the droplet being diluted by the water when it is mixed into the water.

What does a water droplet do in the water cycle?

it makes big water puddles

Why does the rainbow display colors and how?

Rainbows are caused by the refraction of the sun's rays in the drops of water in the sky. Refraction is the bending of light when it passes through a surface where the index of refraction changes. This occurrence is similar to what happens when light passes through a prism. The index of refraction of the water drops is different for different wavelengths. Thus, the light bends more for violet light than for red light. When the light passes through a prism (or water droplet), the different wavelengths of light are refracted by different amounts, separating the different colors of light. This occurs in a rainbow, where the light passes into the water droplet, reflects off the back of the droplet, and come back out through the front. The angle at which it comes back out the front will depend on the color of the light. The shape of the rainbow is determined by the angle between the sun, the observer, and the water drops.
