As the standard iPad uses a touch sensitive screen as a control surface and does not have on screen pointer there is no point in connecting peripherals to control a pointer, although in theory such Bluetooth devices can be paired with the iPad.
I do not believe so, however it will work with Apple bluetooth keyboards, it doesnt use any type of mouse system, so im doubtfull it will work with a magic mouse. It is all touch.
Yes an apple magic trackpad would definitely work with an Australian macbook. Although i think their kind of pointless, but anyways it would work.
Apple's Magic Trackpad only works with their Mac computers running Mac OS X 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard) or later.

It is doubtful that the Apple Magic Mouse would work on a couch, unless somehow the couch has been hacked to run Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later or Mac OS X 10.6.1 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0.
The started requirements for Apple's Magic Trackpad are: A Mac computer with Bluetooth wireless technology Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later Although it is not supported on other systems some people have been able achieve some limited usage (single click etc.) with certain versions of Windows (depending on version of Windows being used) but it will not be able to fully function (multi touch swipes etc.).

By default pressing the Control (ctrl) key while clicking will be recognised as a right click.Out of the box, you can also double tap in order to right click. However, this can get very difficult to get used to if you're switching over from a Mac. The easiest way to right click is to go into System Preferences-Trackpad/Mouse and under the One Finger, toggle "secondary click." Make sure it is set to the bottom right corner, and then it will be just like on Windows.
Apple's Magic Mouse drivers for Windows have been extracted from the Mac software and are available for installing on a Windows computer. (See links below)
iPad apps are created to work on an iPad and will not work on a PC.
