The melting point of any given substance (such as aluminum) has nothing to do with the thickness or shape of the material being melted. It will melt at the same temperature. But it does require more heat in order to heat a thicker piece of aluminum to its melting point.

What melting point does alluminum have?

Pure aluminum has a melting point of 660.32°C, but most aluminum alloys have a melting point in the range of 450ºC to 650ºC.

Why can't we use aluminum for melting gold?

Because aluminum has a melting point of 933.47K and gold has a melting point of 1337.33K thus, the aluminum would melt BEFORE the gold.

What is aluminum dross?

Aluminum dross is a mass of solid impurities floating on a molten metal. As aluminum metal melting point is 660℃, which is low-melting-point, so it will be formed on the surface in aluminum melting or alloys by oxidation of the aluminum.

What is the melting point of Al?

Aluminum's Melting point is: 660.32 °C = 1220.58 °F

What is the freezing point of aluminum?

The melting and freezing points of an element are related, with freezing occurring below and melting being above that temperature. For aluminum, that point is 660.37 degrees Celsius.

What is the melting point of aluminuim?

Aluminum :Melting Point: 660.37 °C or 933.52 K or 1220.666 °F

Aluminum melts at what degrees?

The melting point for aluminum foil is 660 C or 1220 F (The melting point of the foil, which is about 97% aluminum) is the same as that of aluminum. if it's made of aluminum it melts at 660oC regardless of size or shape, but the aluminum oxide anodizing will melt at about 2000oC See the link below.

That's the melting point of aluminum

What is the melting point of a metallic element?

It depends upon the element. Mercury is liquid at room temperature, and the melting point of aluminum is much lower than the melting point of iron.

Is an alloy of aluminum has a melting range instead of a melting point is the alloy a compound?

It is a compound. All pure elements have a certain exact melting point.
