The zone that receives the least Sun is called the Polar Zone. From December to March, it's the Northern Polar zone. From June to September, it's the Southern Polar Zone.
The polar regions i.e. The frigid zone gets the least amount of sun. Then comes the temperate zone and the most amount of suns rays are received by tropical zone.
Since the aphotic zone does not receive sunlight it relys on the photic zone for the sunlight which in terms it does penetrate.

The polar climate zone is located between about 67°N latitude and the North Pole-this latitude zone receives less sunlight than the other two latitude zones.
Averaged through the year, Polar Climates receive the least insolation at the surface. Because these latitudes are tilted further from the sun, solar radiation must pass through more of the atmosphere, and is therefore attenuated.
deep zone.
The Equator (tropical zone) gets the most sunlight during the year. The reason is because of the tilt of the Earth on its axis. I left this information out originally.
