It hasn't ended. Natural environments like the grand Canyon are ever changing.
Many fossil footprints were left in the Grand Canyon by more than 20 species of reptiles and amphibians, but no one has ever found a fossilized reptile skeleton or bone there. The Grand Canyon is about one mile deep. The Grand Canyon was formed by the Colorado River.
There was no reptile skeletons, bones, or teeth found in the grand canyon!

Yes, the Anasazi.
Yes, evil knevil tried ot jump the Grand Canyon on a motorbike. Robert "Evil" Kneivel never made any attempt go over the Grand Canyon in any vehicle, nor did he ever attempt any motorcycle jump across any major canyon. He tried (and failed) to take a steam powered rocket across Snake River Canyon, which is hundreds of kilometers from Grand Canyon. His son, Robbie, did jump 228 feet over a 2500 deep side canyon of the Grand Canyon, outside the national park.
