The world would be nothing without the hours of the day. It answers questions; helps organize events, and so much more. But some people do not find it attractive to let their bodies be dictated by a clock. In fact, a few have even managed to wake up in the mornings without the assistance of an alarm clock. If this is a desired goal, there are steps that can be taken to accomplish it. 1. Think about when waking up is an absolute must. One needs enough time to get ready to leave the house or simply be up early enough to accomplish something. Among the things the average person takes part in before doing anything else, getting dressed and taking a shower are notable mentions. Therefore, it is important to plan ahead, rather than hoping for the body to simply wake up at a reasonable time without any preparing. Taking that approach can only lead to problems. 2. Visualize the chosen waking hour before going to sleep. While sitting or lying down in bed, picture a clock or simply numbers that indicate when one will be getting up in the morning. Without taking this step, it is not guaranteed that the experiment will work. Be certain to turn off all lights and any other stimulants that could deter from the process. 3. Have some sort of backup system prepared. If there will be another person in the house, have them check and make sure that the process worked. If not, they can then wake up the sleeper before it gets too late. If alone, an alarm clock will have to be used. Especially at first, the internal alarm clock method may not work, so having something to fall back to is a must. It never hurts to be ready for several scenarios. Waking up without the help of any kind of clock is a phenomenon that scientists around the world have yet to fully explain or understand. Despite this slice of information, it still works for many and can be an interesting thing to try, if only once.

It depends on what kind of clock you want to buy. However, most alarm clocks cost under $50. I always use my phone alarm and that seems to work great.
