Sounds like an observational question to me. What did you SEE when you did the experiment? We don't know what happened; only someone who actually did this particular experiment could possibly know. We could make some guesses (if you had given us more details), but we wouldn't KNOW.
does the wave transport the colored ribbon from its original positionto the end of the rope
yes it's transperting........
rope waves.
The direction of tension in a rope always runs both ways and parallel to the rope.
the force of tension in the rope, which is delivered to the object to which the opposite end of the rope is attached
The breaking strength of the rope has to be stated in terms of the "tension" in the rope, and that has to be the 800N quoted here. If the ends of the rope are pulled in oppposite directions with a force of 500N on each end, then the tension in the rope at any point is 1000N, and yes, it will break.
well if i swing on rope and it is tied to a strong tree the rope will not break but if it is not tied to a strong tree you will fall over

This is my own original The elepahant crossed the tightrope to get to the peanuts.
98% of water is not moving when it waves. One thing you can do to test this is get a rope and shake it. I hope this is what you meant.

The Sioux built their homes so they could easily transport them if needed. Members of the tribe built the original teepees from ropes, pegs, and material that was placed over the rope and peg system.
It is impossible to bring a broken chain to its original form.
