When a bat hits a ball the velocity and direction change radically. A force has to be exerted on the ball by the bat for acceleration to occur. This demonstrates Newton's second law f is equal to mass times acceleration.
Light travels faster (much faster) than sound.

Kind of . Not necessarily . That number is the difference between the length of the bat and the weight . the larger the number, the faster the bat may be swung. I prefer to use a -11 personally . It's great bat speed.
Yes. Faster = farther.
You use a base ball bat for hitting
I dont know if this answers your question, But the bat does effect the distance and speed of the ball. Normally, the bigger bat you have (weight and inches) the ball will travel faster and farther. I play softball, and sometimes the coach will reccommend a bigger and heavier bat for the person.( X
I am a softball player. Let me say first, bunting is basically half the swing as hitting. Hitting consists of swinging a bat across your entire body. Bunting, you swing 180 degrees and stop and let the ball hit your bat. Bunting makes the ball go in play at a small distance; hitting the ball can make your ball go anywhere!
you can either get an item called the sleeve which protects your bat a little. or you could do what i do and get a cheap woden bat that cost just as much as the sleeve (same heigt and weight as the bat your trying to protect) and you can use that in the batting cage and your regular bat in games.
A corked bat might help with hitting the ball a bit but because the mass of a corked bat is different then to a wooden bat that you would be hitting it with less mass witch means you won't be hitting that much home runs form a corked bat. plus the corked bat is illegal to use in professional baseball in America. so if you wanted more home runs don't use the corked bat.
A big bat is a player in the game of baseball who specializes in hitting home runs.
A bat hitting a baseball is an elastic collision which means there is a transfer of momentum from the bat to the ball. Since momentum is equal to mass multiplied by velocity, a higher mass means more momentum. However, you also must consider that it is harder to swing a heavier bat and therefore it will travel slower and therefore have less momentum.
Not necessarily the brand but the quality of the bat. Most name brands make an excellent bat.
That would depend on the length of the bat. The '-2' is known as the 'bat drop' or 'drop weight' and means that the weight of the bat, in ounces, is 2 less than the length of the bat in inches. To find the weight of the bat you must first measure the bat to find its length. If the length of the bat is 30 inches, the weight of the bat is 28 ounces. If the length of the bat is 28 inches, the weight of the bat is 26 ounces.
It depends on how hard you hit the ball. :0
