Only a snack; the total phase of a solar eclipse lasts a MAXIMUM of 7 minutes 30 seconds, and if you are in the path of the solar eclipse (and KNEW that!) you'd be outside watching the eclipse, right? So you really wouldn't have TIME to eat much.
And it's difficult to eat while you're looking up....

∙ 14y agoNo. The moon is merely passing between us and the sun. This affects us in no way except to make the sky dark. It certainly is not harmful to you or your food.

There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't eat during a solar eclipse. The only difference between a solar eclipse and night time is that at night the sun's light is blocked by the ground under your feet, and in a solar eclipse, the sun's light is partially blocked by the moon.
