Once u hit the fourth energy levels the 'D' block begins to fill. This block is the transition metals. The sequence that these elements follow is 4s1, 4s2, 3p1, 3p2, 3p3, 3p4, 3p4, 3p5,3p6,3p7,3p8, 3p9, 3p10, 4d1, and 4d2/
