They are very important in abiotic and biotic life. Sunlight gives nutrients to help produce plants, and a collection of vitamin D, as water is one of the 4 basic needs of a living thing. No organism can survive without it. These two abiotic parts of the ecosystem are very necessary and are ideal in order to live.

Well, saying that the sun is "important" is a bit of an understatement. The sun isn't important, it'svital. Without the sun there aren't biotic factors (life) to compare with the abiotic. The sun is the number one energy source for life on earth, regulating temperature, air mass movement, precipitation or lack of precipitation, radiation, etc.
