The crocodile would defeat the tiger. A tiger has strong paws and a heavy weight that could bring down a crocodile, but a crocodile's tough skin would protect itself. Also, the crocodile's size and jaws would easily kill a tiger if caught.

Tigers hunt crocodiles on land, and even a 6m crocodile would not be able to catch a tiger. Tigers get behind a croc and bite its neck eventually killing it. (Tigers wouldn't normally take on a croc larger than 4m) however, in the water a large croc (4+m) could kill a small tiger.
There have been reports of Tigers going into the water and pulling 4m+ crocodiles out and killing them

∙ 15y agoIn water, the croc has the advantage. On land, go with the tiger. A video exists showing a tiger taking it's kill away from a crocodile, and yet another shows a tigress killing a croc on land. The croc is probably stronger, but not as quick, especially on land.

A tiger could have a chance to kill a crocodile on land if the crocodile was not large and strong. A tiger could kill an uhealthy, injured, or a weak crocodile on land. In water, the tiger would get killed by the crocodile.

In the Sundarbans in India, The Saltwater Crocodile share its Mangrove Habitat with the Bengal TIger. Both the reptile and the cat know the damage each can do to the other and give each other a wide berth. We have seen Tigers swimming across Crocodile infested creeks in the Sundarbans without any fear or trepidation. They swim to go from one island to another. A basking Crocodile can easily be seized and killed by a tiger. A very large Adult Crocodile can take on and probably kill a year old tiger in deep water. But from our observations as Naturalists who have spent time in the Sundarbans, very rarely do we see conflict arise between these two apex predators who seem to give each other a wide berth
