Flies will likely continue to evolve for another 1.1 billion years before extinction. The current species will have gone extinct (replaced with a new species of Fly) long before then.

If flies were to become extinct, there are two things that could happen:1. Diseases would drop majourly.2. Dying matter/ feces/ decaying matter would last longer and NOT be pretty.Simply, the fly is to simply exist, and nothing more.
