Fluid friction acting on an object moving through the air is called air.
friction is nothing but just the opposite force acting on any moving object...... it hence decreases the speed of a moving object as the object is obstructed in its path
Friction
It slows down or stops the object because of the acting force, pulling it back. Thanks, GeekyScienceGirl123 :]
The object would not cease moving, as there is no friction to act like a brake.
Static friction is the force that acts on an object that is not moving. Other kinds of friction include fluid friction and rolling friction.

Depending on the scenario the forces act on the object when there is actually a force being acted on it? Gravity is always acting on objects (unless space) Friction acts on object as long as object is moving on a surface with friction There are a bunch of other forces but these are just examples

Friction always want to retard the motion of a moving object. So friction slows down and finally stops a moving object.
Friction has no effect whatsoever on the law. But if friction is present, then the law can't be demonstrated, because the moving object always has an external force acting on it.
Friction is holding immobile objects in place.
Because F=ma, If an object is moving at a constant velocity(speed), then there can be no net force acting on the object. This means that there is a dispersive force i.e Drag or friction acting on the object equal to 2 but in the opposite direction to motion.

The friction produced that stops an object moving when force is applied is 'static friction'.
