depends on when it shakes if it shakes when you put on the brakes-warped rotors otherwise it could be ball joints, steering joints, wheel bearings or even out of balance tires
Yes it will bolt up but you will have problems making the front end acuator work
Nope. Z71 vehicles are generally 4x4, not 2x4. Starting in 2007, GM started offering the Z71 package on 2wd Avalanche trucks. The badging will only say Z71 instead of Z71 4x4
The hub bearings in a 1998 Z71 can not be repacked. The bearings are part of the hub, and the hub assembly will have to be replaced.
check the u-joints on your driveshafts.they may need to be greased or replaced.
I need an exploded veiw of a 98 z71 front end gear box
4x4
yes the true z71's are 4x4 but people put the z71 decals on there standard 2wd trucks because the z71 is the most popular Chevy truck
They started Z71 off road in 1990
yes
Z71 means "off road" package, as far as I know they are all 4x4's - thus the "off road" designation
it is a gear ratio 3:73 rear end limited slip
99% of all Z71 trucks are factory 4-wheel drives.
