Are you kidding me? No one out there is smart enough to even respond, that's sad.
The reason that the light comes on is an electrical fault in the AWD system. it could be the sensor in the front axle the shift motor in the transfer case or one of the other 7 sensors or electric motors in the system. Now this will sound crazy but i swear it works most of the time, if this light comes on (and this will work for most AWD and 4x4 models for gm) find a empty parking lot w/ no light poles or obstacles put the vech. in question in reverse and cut the wheel all the way to one side (it doesn't matter, right or left you pick) and drive in reverse for about 3-5 complete circles and 80% of the time the light will go off after about 5 miles of normal driving (after you are done just get back on the road and drive).

Many brake pads have a "warning indicator" which will squeak when the brake pads start to get near the end of their life. This "warning indicator" is usually nothing more than a small metal tab that protrudes out from the side of the pads backing plate pointing towards the brake rotor. As the pad wears, the distance between the metal tab and the brake rotor begins to shorten until a point is reached where the metal tab actually comes in contact with the break rotor. This causes the squeak as a warning to the driver that the break pads are low.
