Differentiate the two system of measurement?

A measurement must be quantitative, as the result is a quantity. A qualitative property is something that can't be measured, such as your opinion of someone, or of a book you have read. Absolutely incorrect. In science you have both qualitative and quantitative measurements. A quantitative measurement is just as it sounds, measuring the quantity of something. A qualitative measurement systematically measures the quality of a system. Temperature is a qualitative measurement of heat. Where as heat is a quantitative measurement of energy. You can't "add" temperature but you can "add" heat to a system by increasing the temperature or the mass of the system. Mass is a quantitative measurement, where as weight is a qualitative measurement of the force of gravity on a mass and is dependent on where it is measured (gravity). If you can "add" or "subtract" something it is quantitative. If you can only "change" it it is qualitative. Thus it is scientifically incorrect to say "adding weight", you must say "increasing weight".

Would you give 5 example of qualitative and quantitative observation?

Qualitative:Human blood is red.Males are taller than females on average.Saturn has rings.Metals are shiny.Ice cubes float.Quantitative:Red blood cells make up 40% of the volume of whole blood. The average adult American male is 5' 9" tall. The rings of Saturn have a diameter 2.3 times the diameter of the planet.Aluminum reflects 92% of visible light. The density of ice at the freezing point is 0.9167 g/ml.

Why do you need to record your observation when performing an experiment?

To give final result to our observation

Definition of quantitative techniques?

According to one definition, quantitative procedures are those that give decision-makers a powerful and organized way to analyze quantitative data. The management uses this scientific approach to problem-solve and make decisions.

Could you give at least 5 example quantitative qualitative observation?

Sure. Quantitative observations: Measuring the temperature of water, counting the number of leaves on a plant, recording the weight of an object, timing how long it takes for a pendulum to swing, measuring the length of a book. Qualitative observations: Describing the color of a flower, noting the smell of freshly baked bread, observing the texture of a rock, listening to the sound of chirping birds, feeling the softness of a cotton fabric.

Why qualitative and quantitative observation imfortant?

If you mean important, then it's because it can give a range & more varitey of data then just one or the other

Would you give 5 more examples of qualitative and quantitative observations?

What are quantitative observations?

A quantitative observation is an observation that can be measured in numbers, such as volume, length, acceleration, number of widgets produced per hour, etc.

Give 5 examples of qualitative and quantitative observations?

EXAMPLE: Painting Qualitative: Blue Paint, Gold Frame, Smells Musty, Texture Shows Oils were Used, Scene of boats on a river Quantitative: Cost is $300, Weighs 8.9 lbs, Painting is 10" by 14", Frame is 14" by 18", Surface Area is 140 Sq. In. (Qualitative deals with descriptions and can be observed but not measured. Quality. Quantitative deals with numbers and can be measured. Quantity.)

Is heart rate qualitative or quantitative?

Heart rate is generally a quantitative measurement. You can give a specific number (quantity) for it. You could express heart rate as a qualitative measurement by simply using comparative phrases such as fast, faster, slow slower, dangerously high, dangerously low, etc. Often the quantitative measurement is mapped to the qualitative terms to give a quantitative range that can map to a qualitative term to express the impact of that type of heart rate.

Give 3 example of qualitative observation?

Beauty, honesty and literacy.

What is more important qualitative or quantitative observations?

Both qualitative and quantitative observations are important, as they provide different insights. Quantitative observations give numerical data and allow for statistical analysis, while qualitative observations provide descriptive information and help in understanding the context and meaning behind the numbers. Both types of observations are essential for a comprehensive understanding of a situation.
