Stuff a rag in the shoe first to prevent runs to the inside. You could try hairspray or alcohol (NOT both together though!!) BUT either one will spread the ink as it removes it. So you should expect the area to double or triple as the ink gets lighter. You'd apply ONE of the two in a small amount, and gently wipe it into the canvas shoe. Apply a little more and repeat until the stain has completely lifted. Make sure to remove the soiled rag and put in a clean white rag and allow the shoe to dry. * Nurses often get ink blotches on white uniforms and they use alcohol wipes or liquid rubbing alcohol to break (spread) and then lift the ink stain.
