The red dot may be a natural part of its colouring in that case everything is OK, or it may be an erruption (Boil/cyst etc) of some kind under the fishes skin. If that is the case you may be able to buy some kind of medication at a pet shop. Either way I would be advising you to do regular water changes to reduce the chances of sicknes happening.
