True Blood, now in its sixth season, is a show that explores the idea of vampires "coming out of the coffin". The development of synthetic blood, called Tru Blood, has made feeding on humans no longer necessary for the survival of vampires, prompting them to reveal their existence to humans. There are more than just vampires in this world, however. Werewolves, werepanthers, faeries, maenads, godesses, fire demons, and more abound in Bon Temp, Louisiana. The show follows the lives of many different people (and species!) but mostly it is about Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress caught in a love triangle with two vampires.

true blood is a 12 episode series about a girl named sookie stackhouse. it's based on the novels by Charlaine Harris, the first book of the series is called dead until dark. Sookie is psychic, she can read people's minds but can also block them out of she concentrates hard enough- so, it's pretty hard for her to have a social life. it is set in bon temps, Louissiana, and sookie lives with her grandma and works as a waitress in sam merlotte's bar. the basis of the series is that vampires co exist with humans, and one night one walks nto the bar. Sookie is amazed to find that she can't hear his thoughts- she is attracted to him instantaneously, along with his peaceful silence which is a change for her. the vampire (bill compton) notices that sookie is different than the average human, and so takes an interest in her too. so, it is really about sookie and bill's relationship, alongside a series of gruesome murders in bon temps which no one can figure out who is doing the killing and why.

i recommend this to anyone, but is has an adult nature, and so wouldn't be suitable for young teenagers or people who can't stand BLOOD!

Maenad is an ancient greek sort of goddess or female servant/s of the God Dionysus. They controlled, were attracted to and fed off intoxication in humans from alcohol. They reveled and enjoyed intoxicated fueled lust. Mary Ann Forrester, in the HBO show True Blood, is secretly a Maened. As time has gone on these Maenad have become intersted in being served, or payed a tribute to, by supernatural beings that serve alcohol. Dionysus was the god of the vine, as in grapes or wine and intoxication. Maenad were thought to have created the effects or feelings involved with drunken, erratic and/or lustful behavior while intoxicated. Since their god Dionysus, was no longer being properly worshiped, their behavior became more evil and vengeful. The maenads started demanding tributes and outrageous gifts in order to keep things quiet. They have great control over supernatural beings, turning them mad when tributes are refused, As Eric knows about this all too well. Mary ann causes a lot of havoc in Bon Temps as the series continues.

Free? I could not help you. Try to get your parent to subscribe for HBO in your home. That is the best option I could offer.
