That kind of implies that there are people who aren't ordinary. Everyone is an ordinary person...

God can work with anyone, but his favourites are the ones who have tried to do everything in their own strength and failed. The outcasts, the underdogs. Once people have tested their own strength and found it lacking, they find it more easy to rely entirely on God, and that's when he can really do great things with them.

Absolutely. God can answer us any way at all. He's God. Before you go thinking for sure that it's God talking to you through that other person, make sure it lines up with what God says in The Bible (if you think God is telling you to steal something check it with the Bible) and another good thing to do is check if your person is a man/ woman of God. Then make sure you have confirmation before you tell anyone or do anything (two or three different totally unrelated people tell you the same thing). If God is trying to tell you something, he'll get through. You can count on it. And you don't want to be outside what God wants for you. It makes a lot of headache.
