∙ 15y agoNone of the probes previously launched have come close enough to Pluto to be of much use. The "New Horizons" space craft was launched in January 2006. It is expected to reach Pluto some time in 2015 if nothing goes wrong.

∙ 12y agoCurrently, no. There is a mission called New Horizons on its way to Pluto but it will not touch down on the planet. It is expected to make its closest approach in July of 2015.
