The Santa Rosa trademark expired in the late 70's so they may not have been producing shoes/boots when Herman bought the brand. Not sure if Herman bought the company or just the rights to the brand. Of course Herman was later purchased by Wal-Mart. Check with the historical society for Santa Rosa. They might have more info.
