bruh i just realised they dont sleep during winter
Migration
Animals satisfy their full before migrating to other countries or islands. They make sure everyone is healthy before the flock flies off. Any bird, or insect who is not in a good condition will stay behind, be left behind, or faint while flying.
Hibernation
The same thing between migration and hibernation is that the animals both need to be full. Many animals give birth during hibernation. Some animals bring extra food into their dens just incase they get hungry. Animals such as bears will either dig a tunnel to a cosy, hair and leaf lined cave or find a appropriate stone cave on the side of a mountain.
They eat like theres no tomorrow gain lots and lots of weight and hibernate in their natural habitat
Two basic ways is either by storing food (squirrels storing acorns, etc), or putting on body fat (bears eating heavily in Autumn to feed on the body fat while sleeping over the Winter).
Winter sleep is called hibernation. Hibernation is when animals (such as bears) sleep for multiple months in order to conserve energy during the winter.
They Mostly Sleep
Some animals sleep through the winter -- those animals are called hibernators. The long sleep through the winter is called hibernation.
Hibernation
A long deep sleep done by animals during winter
some animals that can survive the winter and not the summer go for long summer sleep.
bears ,some squirrels, weasels
hibernation
They have to sleep(hibernate) in order to survive the winter. Why? well, the food that these animals need to survive will scarce on winter; basically the food is either not enough or just gone with the cold temperatures. These animals Hibernate , some all winter and other part of the winter. Hibernate is a very deep sleep. The animal's body temperatures drops, and their heartbeat and breathing slow down. The body uses very little energy. These animals prepare themselves in the Fall to be ready for hibernation on Winter. They eat extra food and stores it as body fat to use this fat for energy while hibernating. Examples: Bears, skunks, chipmunks and some bats...
Hibernation is the long sleep animals have over the cold winter months.
When bears go to sleep in the winter, it is called Hibernation. Squirrels, birds, and other animals who dislike the cold do the same thing.
Hibernation is a state of inactivity and lowered metabolic rate that some animals enter to conserve energy during times of food scarcity or cold temperatures. During hibernation, the animal's body temperature drops, its heart rate slows, and it reduces its overall activity level.
