The temperature T in degrees Celsius (°C) is equal to the temperature T in degrees Fahrenheit (°F) minus 32, times 5/9:

T(°C) = (T(°F) - 32) × 5/9

Convert 68 degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius:

T(°C) = (68°F - 32) × 5/9 = 20 °C

21.8 deg C = 71.24 deg F. To convert deg. C to F, multiply deg C by 1.8 and then add 32 to the answer. To convert deg. F to C, subtract 32 from the temp in F and then divide by 1.8.

This is not a simple multiplication. Rather, use the following formulae to convert:F = (9/5)C + 32C = (5/9)(F - 32)This is not a simple multiplication.
