The amount of caffeine in a single bean can vary greatly but most chocolate coated beans contain anywhere from 10 to 20 mg of caffeine per bean. For reference, a drip brewed cup of coffee (8oz.) contains on average between 100-140 mg of caffeine.

True it depends on the amount of caffeine in a single bean, but it also depends on the amount of coffee used to produce a cup of coffee. Example: Some people make coffee using twotablespoons per 6 oz. of water, while others prefere one tablespoons per mug (10 -12 oz.).

it depends..... the milder the roast the higher the caffeine, also there is more caffeine in a cup of black drip coffee than a espresso beverage of the same size. if you are looking for the ultimate pick me up try a drip with shots of espresso added to it as well.

Does espresso coffee have more caffeine than regular coffee?

No. A shot of espresso has about 80-100 mg of caffeine, whereas a cup of regular coffee has 100-135 mg. Since the servings of espresso are generally much smaller than coffee, the content of caffeine per mL is often higher than a cup of coffee, but between a shot of espresso and a cup of coffee, the coffee has more.

How much caffeine is there in a shot of espresso versus a cup of regular coffee?

The answer to what has more caffeine really depends on your perspective: If you are looking at caffeine from a volume perspective, espresso has more - about 65 mg/1 oz. But if you are comparing regular coffee (6-8 oz), you are looking at about 200 m of caffeine. In simple terms: In the morning, if you down a large coffee you will have consumed almost three times more caffeine than if you had thrown back a quick espresso.
