First of all let us understand what is AMF?

Generally all the major industries/companies/institution have the DG for power back up , but when main power is cut off , someone has to go to start the DG and this takes time and also a man has to be kept for this purpose. So to eliminate this process PLC panel is installed to Auto start the DG when main power fails.

Working is as follows:-

when main power goes , a signal is received to PLC and after a delay DG starts . When the Main supply fail signal is received by PLC then after a delay time, output for ACB/Contactor of DG is ON and DG starts automatically. Also the ACB/Contractor of main transformer if sent OFF Command. When main power comes then the signal is again sent to PLC and PLC off the ACB/Contactor of DG and after 2 seconds it on the ACB/Contactor of main transformer and after 30 seconds it off the DG. DG is sent OFF command a little late so that the load beard by DG for a long time can be compensated by running at no load for some time.

How does AMF panel for generator work?

AMF stand for Auto Mains Failure. Generally a generator/alternator power and normal commercial line switching over is done through it. A normal changeover, if mains fails you have switch the load circuit to generator, and when mains restors, generator supply will be cut off and fed to mains. in AMF this done by contactors and control circuits. if you want to know more......

What is AMF panel?

AMF panel is the short form of Auto Man Failure panel. It is normally connected to the generator set to control the generator set function. It can call the generator set if the AMF further connected to the Main Switch Board ( received power from the other source - normally from the local authority ) which equipped with auto transfer switch/automatic changeover contactor. While normal supply serve to main switch board failed, the AMF board will send the power failure signal to generator set. Then the generator set will run and serve the supply to main switch board.

What is the working principle of AMF panel?

auto mains failure A transfer switch allows safe switching between your mains supply (primary source) and your standby generator supply (secondary source) whilst ensuring both sources cannot be connected simultaneously. I'm sure you've figured out by now, that an automatic transfer switch carries out this operation automatically...

If the penny has been removed you may have more than one fuse panel in some pontiacs there are three check for one in the center council under the hood and the passenger kick panel. it has to be a blown fuse or relay. sometimes cigar lighters share a circuit with other electronics in the car hence the lock failure

Why can auto transformer be dangerous?

(An auto-transformer can be dangerous because the primary is not electrically isolated from the secondary. If the auto-transformer is connected to mains power, this is the equivalent of sticking your fingers directly in the wall plug; not a good idea!) aka deceptacons like megatron will kill you.
