I am not sure how the school system works in America but I know that you start when your 13-14 and finish when you are 17-18 and your years are set in grades. In England we call them things like years. We start High School when we are 11 and finish when we are 16, as we don't have a Middle School.

The years work like this:

Year 7 - Age 11-12

Year 8 - Age 12-13

Year 9 - Age 13-14

Year 10 - Age 14-15

Year 11 - Age 15 - 16

Hope this helps :)

This varies from School to School.

In General :- 8.30-9.00 am start, registration and two lessons, lunch break, two more lessons, go home around 3.30-4.00 pm.
