Doesn't matter whether it's hot or cold. Bring #1 up to tdc and adjust 1,2,5,7 intakes and 1,3,4,8 exhausts.
Rotate the engine one turn to put #6 at tdc then do the rest of the valves.
Chevy 350 small block engines with hydralic lifters set at 0 lash. That means start the engine and adjust the valve until it just quits clicking. Then tighten the nut approx 3/4-1 turn then set the next one.
hydralic
Not if you did it right the first time.
If you have a 2001 or newer engine, it comes with roller lifters and roller rockers from the factory.
The impala ss LT1 did not come from the factory with roller rockers, they came with stamped steel rockers. If you are installing roller rockers in yours, the common advise is to go 1/2 turn after 0 lash, when the pushrod no longer moves up and down.
Must be fairly recently, because I haven't seen that in a factory-built sbc. They've been using roller lifters since '87.
That engine has a ROLLER CAM AND ROLLER LIFTERS
It has hydraulic roller lifters.
non adjustable rockers only unless you bought aftermarket roller rockers in which case they are just like Chevy rockers to adjust. buy a new set that's the only way your goin to adjust em or you could posibly file them down but your risking alot there. id recomend just buying a new oe set for your 307ci.
You can do it with the engine off. With #1 up for compression, adjust the 1,2,5,7 intakes and 1,3,4,8 exhausts to zero backlash, then about 1/2 turn preload for hydraulic lifters. Then rotate the crankshaft one revolution so that #6 is up for compression and do the rest.
No to the roller lifters in the 2.8 Ford V6. The 2.8 as well as the 2.9 has regular flat tappet lifters and regular rocker arms.
YES it does and it is a roller cam and hydraulic lifters.
