Depends on the match you're talking about. If you're talking about the 98 Royal Rumble, With Shawn Micheals vs Undertaker. Finishing with Undertakers Kayfabe brother locking him in the casket and setting it on fire.

If you watch closely while they're locking the casket next to the right, you can see the rocking of the casket as "Undertaker" rolls through a fake wall, and rolls under the ring.

The same move was used during the Kane vs Undertaker Buried Alive match in 98'. You could see during the PPV the dirt was dropped around and ontop of the main stage. Which allowed "The Undertaker" to roll through a false wall on the side, giving him access to the area under the stage before it was filled with dirt.

And we all know the storylines involved in wrestling are scripted. Match wins/loses are pre-determined. And stunts like these are in fact "fake". And while wrestlers will "sell" move to make them look more damaging than they really are. There are many times when wrestlers will legitimately be injured.

Including Droz "Puke". Who was paralyzed from the neck down after landing on his head during a match with D'lo brown.

Or Steve Austin cracking a vertebra in his neck when Owen hart did a sitdown powerbomb incorrectly on Steve.

He survived cuz the casket is FIRE PROOF!!!Answerthe casket got chopped up so the fire got inside too but there's this thing called a trap door and what it does is it is hidden in the floor and when the casket is over it, the undertaker can sneak out... that's why you don't see the wheels of the casket...

Yes at SummerSlam (2010)... Many websites also believe that WWE would make the match Kane and Mystery Man (Undertaker) in a casket match at summerslam and another beginning of the Undertaker and Kane's feud

he's called the deadman because after Kane's debut the undertaker was in a casket match that Kane made him lose and the undertaker's soul went up to heaven

User Avatar

The most obvous answer would be: either Randy, or Bob, or both. R.I.P Ortons! The Undertaker wasn't scheduled to have a match at Survivor Series. However, after the Smackdown vs Raw match, the Deadman's casket was brought onto the entrance ramp. Then suddenly, the Undertaker kicked out of a flaming casket and came towards the ring.He then went into the ring and started chokeslamming and piledriving everyone.

He lost to yokozina in a casket match at the royal rumble. He didnt come back untill after WM 10

the object of a casket match is to lock your opponenet in a casket or coffin whereas in a buried alive match the object is to bury your opponent alive

In 1993, the Undertaker was 'buried' in a Casket match. In 1994, a second "Undertaker" (Played by Brian Lee, instead of Mark Calaway) was introduced by Ted DiBiase (Sr.), prompting the return of the Undertaker. The infamous fight to which you are referring occurred at SummerSlam 1994, with the 'real' (Calaway) Undertaker defeating the 'fake' (Lee) Undertaker.

Undertaker lost and the Ortons: nailed the casket down, poured gas on it, and set it on fire! Although, the casket was later opened, and Undertaker wasn't in it. Undertaker is coming back someday, his contract last until June or July of 2007, and how can you kill a "Deadman?!" You can't kill something that's already dead! Hey Otrons RIP!

undertaker isn't dying hes just injured and the real person who did that to the undertaker is his own brother Kane who you will find out soon when the undertaker returns and confronts Kane at a paper view where Kane faces rey myesterio in a casket match but sadly undertaker gets tombstone and out powered by Kane :(
