The most qualified person to answer this is probably an obgyn, that moonlights as a photocopier tech. Since your not likely to find one, you can go for the next best thing, which is one or the other. I'm the "other". (5 years exp on all types of copiers). While I'm certainly not qualified to make a medical statement, let me give you this to think about: generally, women are not concerned about these other common consumer items affecting pregnancy and each share common systems also found on photocopiers. Would you be worried that these devices are affecting your fetus: cd/DVD player, laptop computer, electronic room freshener (Ionic Breeze etc), infra-red countertop oven, bathroom heatlamp, vacuum cleaner, wringer washer, paper shredder... We are concerned about Copiers because we don't understand them, they are mysterious" devices that magically clone images placed on them. They are not really that complicated, there is no radiation emanating from them, it's not rocket science... I suggest there is no more danger to the baby when making a copy, or driving a car, or watching a movie at home. Hope this helps.
