Building can have a stronger foundation as well as a broader base to prevent it from toppling over. An example would be a pyramid shape, used in the Transamerica Pyramid. Certain features such as a giant ball at the top of the building as seen in Taipei 101 can be used to stabilise the buildings during strong winds.
