The treatment of an injury depends on what area of the body it is on and how severe the injury is, but some common treatments for injuries are as follows:

  • Ice - compressing the injured area with an ice pack for up to 30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours
  • Stretching - Lightly stretching the area for 30 seconds and repeating 5 to 10 times a day (depending on how painful injury is)
  • Drugs - Most popular way, but not always most effective is to take some form of painkiller to help subside the pain, but this is often a way of making an injury worse by making the person feel fine and possibly making the injury worse.
