Energy is defined as the ability to do work. Work is defined as the force required to displace a body. So that means to apply the approximate amount of force to displace the body you have to use some energy.

OR

To displace a body one must convert its potential energy to mechanical energy by means of force.

How are energy change and force related?

Energy change = force * displacement It is a scalar quantity.

What is the potential energy stored in chemical compounds?

A potential energy is energy related to some (conservative) force. In this case, it is the electrical attraction between the atoms.A potential energy is energy related to some (conservative) force. What is a type of force that is related to movement of any form of matter or energy?

Kinetic Energy.

What is force multipyed by distance?

Force x distance = energy. (Transfer of energy is usually called "work", but the two concepts are related.)

What types of energy are attributable to each of the four fundamental forces?

The four forces affecting matter are (in order of increasing strength): 1. Gravitational Force : hydraulic energy or water falls 2. Electromagnetic Force : electricity as secondary energy 3. Weak Nuclear Force: ionizing radiation4. Strong Nuclear Force: nuclear fissionWhenever there is a force, or more precisely a so-called "conservative force", there is an associated potential energy. Each of the fundamental forces have related potential energy; thus, there is gravitational, electrical & magnetical, and nuclear potential energy.I am not entirely sure about the weak force; but I assume it would be lumped together with the strong force, in the category of "nuclear energy".Chemical energy, as well as elastic energy, are also types of potential energy that are related to electrical forces.

What energy is related to earths gravity?

force Potential energy as related to height. E=GM/r Momentum...............................................E=1/2 mv2

Is work the measure of amount of force needed to move an object a certain distance?

No, work is related to energy, not to force.

Are force momentum time acceleration and distance all conserved energy?

No. Force, for example, does not have the same unit as energy. Energy has the units of force x distance (the same units as work). Similarly, the other items you mention are not directly related to energy, either.

What is gravitational potential energy related to?

The distance from the object providing a gravitational force.

How is mass related to force and energy?

The force of gravity acts between all objects. How gravity and other forces ast depends on the mass, distance, and motion of the objects.

What does gravitional energy mean?

It refers to potential energy (energy of position), related to the force of gravity. Basically, at a higher position, an object has more energy than at a lower position.

Is chemical energy potental or kinetic energy?
