Best Answer

When steam or a vapor changes state to a liquid, it "condenses".

When a liquid changes it's state to a solid, it freezes. It requires much more energy to change the state of a vaport to a liquid than it does to change the state of a liquid to a solid

Freezing is changing from a liquid to a solid (like when water turns to ice), condensation is when a gas or vapor turns to a liquid (like when steam or humidity turns to water). Each element and compound has its own freezing and evaporation point (evaporation is the opposite of condensing - the liquid turning to gas).
