Sex-linked traits are inherited from the organism's parents.
Sex-linked traits are inherited from the organism's parents. In humans, it is typically associated in coming from the mother. A mother gives one of their X chromosomes to the offspring so they can be a carrier of a recessive detrimental gene and not be affected because it is masked by a normal X chromosome like XXD (D is used to identify the bad gene) So when the the sex of the offspring is being male the XD is failed to be masked by the other other X because, the father only gives the Y= XDY
Sex-linked traits have alleles that are passed from parent to child on a sex chromosome.
Sex-linked traits
Fathers pass the Y sex chromosome to their sons, NOT the X sex chromosome.
Slashes in what? I don't know of any connection or notation for sex-linked traits involving slashes.
The 3 main points of how traits are inherited are: 1)Traits are controlled by alleles on chromosomes. 2) An allele's effect is dominant or recessive. 3)When a pair of chromosomes separates during meiosis, the different alleles for a trait move into separate sex cells. Both are sex-linked traits, inherited through the X chromosome.

In sex-linked inherited diseases such as hemophilia, mothers most often pass the disease to sons.

Because the Y chromosome is so small and has relatively few genes, most sex-linked traits are governed by genes of the X sex chromosome, and are therefore X-linked.
A sex linked trait can only be found on the x chromosome such as hemophilia, color blindness, and muscular dystrophy. These are traits that can only be inherited through chromosomes instead of regular traits coming through genes.
It is inherited by being on a sex-linked chromosmal deffet
