Triangles are often used in structural members such as roof or floor trusses because triangulating the structure allows it to carry more weight. This is because polygons can be squished while triangles can hold more weight, because every side supports eachother.
Triangulation of material adds strength by reducing lateral movement (also called moment). Consider the four legged folding table. If the legs folded out in their open position did not incorporate the triangular reinforcement between the legs and table the legs would be free to wobble side to side in all directions. Not a good table; same with a building the common rectangular structure is supported through triangulation making the building stable. The structural reinforcement (triangulation) is hidden behind the skin of most buildings. Some architects choose to express this structure visually as part of their design.
architects use triangles in their designs because it makes it look cool
for strength and/or balance!!!!!!!!!!!
Building function is a term that refers to how a building is intended to be used. For example a building may be designed to be used as a factory, or school.
An ancillary building is any building that is used for storage or machinery near a main structure. An ancillary building is a support structure of some kind.
Triangles form other polygons as for instance there are 4 triangles in a 6 sided hexagon and 5 triangles in a 7 sided heptagon
one of the things bricks are used for is building a house
golden ratio
Triangles
In building slanted roofs.
Hyperbolic cosines, parabolas, semicircles, triangles are some shapes.
implied triangles are triangles caused by perspectivethe building is not a real triangle just looks like one so its an implied triangle
Isosceles triangles can be used in domes
Triangles are the strongest type of shape. It is very sturdy, but takes up little space. It is the best for building bridges.
ya , so i actually wanted the answer myself but i think it is because congruent triangle will give it a balance and support
No it can only be used with right angle triangles.
They are similar triangles.
If it is in the form of two inverted triangles, then there are 8 triangles. If only the outline is used, there are 0 triangles.
Aren't triangles structurally strong? So they are used in bridges and architechture.
i have no absaloute clue what so ever Traditionally in the western world, walls in buildings are erected to be perfectly vertical. Rooms are constructed usually with square corners. The requirement for a building being perfectly vertical is all the more critical in high rise buildings and sky scrapers. Hence the right triangles are used in laying brick, cutting wood etc.
