A 3mm stone is 3mm large. Isn't that like asking what color is a blue bird?


well maybe they arent sure what the mm means...

it means millimeter.

there are 25 millimeters in a inch, so a 3 mm stone is roughly 1/8th of a inch.

fairly small. i have had some as large as 10mm .

I'm assuming what you actually meant was "Is a 13mm kidney stone large?" and to that question I say yes. Absolutely. Any stone over 5mm needs to be broken up or it will create a blockage somewhere in your ureter and your whole system will get backed up and you can actually die from this if it is not treated properly.

I have had several stones all around 4mm and they were unbearably painful. I don't even want to imagine what a 13mm stone would feel like.

A grain of suger is 1mm, so 3 grians is equal to 3mm.

3 millimetres is 3 millimetres, regardless of what you measure. If you cannot conceive of how large (or really, small) it is, find a ruler.
