most 3 month olds have slight enlarged stomaches abit of bloating but nothing to worry about. i was breast feeding my baby and at 3 months her stomach looked really enlarged like she swallowed a balloon, also she hadnt opened her bowels for 5 days, i asked health visitor as i was concerned and she told me it was normal and they can go up to 2 weeks without opening there bowels as i was breast feeding. anyway went to isatanbul to see my husbands parents 2 days later with my daughter n her enlarged stomache, by now she was crying all the time i was getting little worried but thought it ok as health visitor said it normal... same day i arrived in turkey my husbands mother looked at my daughter and rushed her to hospital where doctors inserted a suppository up her bum and in 5 mins she'd poo'd everywhere there were loads (sorry for this). doctor thenm told me her intestines had become blocked and if i had waited any longer they would of burst inside her and poisened her and could of killed her. how glad i was that i went to turkey and my mother in lawa instincts saved my lil girl. so if you worried about your baby go to a doctor as health visitors dont know what is medically wrong with a baby, they are not trained to doagnose these things. not that your baby has this but i just want to make people aware of this.
